lyrics
I am static I'm a drumming machine
I feel the pulse of all the creatures around me
I talked to God and she responded in my dream
I saw her, I saw her
I am not from here
The sun is sleepy now
I'll find my way out
I'll be running, running
Echo in the halls
Silence in my mouth
Your eyes are fading out
And they are crying, crying
Uh, uh, crying, crying
Uh, uh
Uh, uh, crying, crying
Uh, uh
I am erratic, last night (I) didn't sleep
The words you didn't say kept banging in my head
I almost got you but you needed to leave
Why have you got so many tricks under your sleeve?
I am not from here
The sun is sleepy now
I'll find my way out
I'll be running, running
Echo in the halls
Silence in my mouth
Your eyes are fading out
And they are crying, crying
Uh, uh, crying, crying
Uh, uh
Uh, uh, crying, crying
Uh, uh
I force the thought of calmness
When you have friends around
My heart is hit by hot waves
They are blowing in and out
I'm good right here I mean it
I'm much better without
So you can't hurt my feelings
I keep them underground
I force the thought of calmness
When you have friends around
My heart is hit by hot waves
They are blowing in and out
I'm good right here I mean it
I'm much better without
So you can't hurt my feelings
I keep them underground
Jo Bevan is one of the best singers in modern rock. The band is tight and talented and does some nifty post-punky style stuff. This album has some exceptional songs on it. rick-taylor
Why do I love this record? it has a haunting sound with a destination. The vocals are very sweet and the riffs hook you in . The songs have a great momentem they begin at once place then end some other place and don't go in a circle . if that makes sense? jimmyfuc
French darkwave outfit Candélabre channel New Romantic pop, dousing big melodies with a healthy amount of foggy, swirling atmosphere. Bandcamp New & Notable Apr 27, 2021
Opener absolutely rips. Falls into the ranks of tracks like “Dance” by ESG, “Eisbaer” by Grauzone, “Damaged Goods” by Gang of Four or like the album description says Kleenex. This is some really good stuff. Favorite song is the opener but dedicate “Blue” to my friend Blue who lost her life at 22, she would have loved this album. TheBloodofChrist
